At Salt And Syd, we believe the best recipes are never truly finished—they grow and adapt with us. My mission is to take the classic comfort foods we all crave and refine them with modern techniques and healthier twists, giving you the chance to share “perfected” dishes with the people you love. Making the right swaps and offering alternative ingredients opens the doors to personalize each and every hand-crafted recipe. I personally develop, test, and photograph every recipe on Salt and Syd. I am the sole photographer for Salt and Syd; all images, unless otherwise noted, are original photos of actual dishes I have prepared. Every recipe featured on Salt and Syd is personally cooked and tested in my own kitchen multiple times to ensure the timing and flavors work for every home cook. Every recipe is approached with a focus on troubleshooting and experimentation. At Salt and Syd we don’t just provide a recipe; we’re providing the lessons learned while perfecting each recipe so you don’t have to guess.
My great-grandmother was the ultimate hostess, famous for her legendary cheesecakes and Christmas parties where she’d welcome nearly 200 people—friends and strangers alike—with a full plate and a warm smile.
My grandmother carried that same spirit, single-handedly preparing a Thanksgiving feast of turkey, chicken, and ham (plus every side dish imaginable!) while refusing any help. They were true powerhouses who taught me that food is the ultimate way to show up for your community.
